Well I gave my notice at Schwan's today and as expected, they said thanks but no thanks. My boss was really cool and understanding though. So I officially will never work a day of my life again in California.

Everything seems to be coming together as we prepare to shove off in only two weeks. One by one things are falling off Shelly and I's to do list.

My future boss in MN e-mailed me an offer package this week. I knew I'd be working there and happily, but we hadn't discussed the details (because I know and trust this guy). It's a great package and we are very excited. I'll make as much as I was at Schwan's to start, and I'll have evenings and weekends off and won't be having to work 70 hours a week. Full med/dent for both of us. And right off the bat I get 5 vaca days and 4 personal days! What an unbelievable blessing this has become for us! I'm a little nervous about being in managment, but ready and excited for the challenge.

Shelly's stress will continue for a little while longer 'til we get out of here, so please continue to have her in your thoughts and prayers. Looks like she's set to be serving again at the Maceroni Grill in MN, so that's cool.

By the way, I broke down and surprised Shells with a tree. I just couldn't handle the thought of our first married Christmas together without a tree. So what if we had to unpack all our decorations! Now our memories won't be tarnished when thinking back to this time period of our life. I'll post a picture of our masterpiece soon maybe.
