are you ready?

Thursday, November 24, 2005

Happy turkey day all! I just survived working ten days straight 11 hours each. And I am beat up. I am ready for the next four days off. So I can let my aching muscles and back rest and maybe all these dam blisters on my feet to heal. I'm excited to eat well, watch some good football, and take a nap with my wife. We are both missing being with family on this day, but at least we have each other and the guarantee that we''ll be with fam in either MN or Straetor next year. But we're thinking ahead in great excitement to being in Streator for the 4th of July. There's nothing like it.

My new job :(

The good news is I finally started this job that will get us the heck out of town. The bad news is that they made me work in the warehouse during the third shift for the last two nights just to get an idea of the products I'll be selling. Well, since it's a frozen food delivery company, the warehouse is freeking freezing in order to keep all the food and icecream frozen. So for the last two nights, I've been freezing my ass off in a massive damn freezer, -18 degrees to be exact. What the heck are we doing moving to freeking Minnesota!!!!????? WE ARE MOVING TO A MASSIVE FREEKING FREEZER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yikes, still.....I can't wait....I guess.

One of the best nights of my life.

Shell and I went to see Saw 2 Saturday night. It was just o.k. The first was much better. It's just worth the rental. After, we went to Scott's work and had a cold one and some free chips and salsa. Then to Starbs (so she could have a hot drink to warm herself up in the frigid 65 degree weather). Then we went over to the fountain and watched all the cheesy jr. high kids mess around. There were jr. high kids everywhere. Some in random dark corners of the Market Place making out (which was sooo disgusting). So we left. When we got home we realized we had Blockbuster movies that we'd be charged to replace if we didn't return them that night (we had them for several weeks-oops). So we went there and decided to go in and see if they had that movie. The movie I've been dreaming of and waiting to watch for a long, long time. They had it in stock! Thank you Lord! And so, late at night, even though Shelly had to be up really early to lead worship, we watched it. The BEST movie I've ever seen..........

Bro

I sure am going to miss this guy when we leave for the midwest.

This is Tasha, our youngest kid. She thinks she's a human.

Who me????? I'm NOT really 30. OK I am. So what!!

This is the birthday present my Dad sent with my Mom and Sis. I had to open it and wear it over a glass of some really good meritage in a quaint little Italian bistro up in the mountains.

my very best friend

This is a pic of her and I on our first birthday together as husband and wife. She's now 27 and I'm now...... older than her. Shelly is so amazing. Every day I ask myself how I managed to get her forever. God sure picked a good one for me to grow old with.
We are now about 7 weeks away from our 2000 mile move. I can't wait to get out of this dump of a town (I'll tell you all about Bakersfield another time). Although we have made many good friends here that we'll miss dearly. It's going to be so fun to start fresh together. And be close to all our family and friends. I can't wait!!!
